Does Your House Have Termites?

If you suspect that your home might have termites, it’s important to act quickly. Termites can cause significant damage to your home and can be difficult to eradicate. Here are a few signs that could indicate that your house has termites:

1. Mud Tubes:

Termites build mud tubes to travel from the soil to the wood of your home. These tubes look like dirt tunnels, and are about the width of a pencil. They can be found on the foundation, around windows and doors, and in the basement or crawlspace.

2. Wood Damage:

Termites feed on wood, so if you notice any wood damage in your home, it could be a sign of termites. Look for buckling, soft or hollow-sounding wood, or sawdust-like material.

3. Discarded Wings:

Termites are able to fly, so if you spot wings around your home, it could be a sign that termites are present.

4. Swarming:

If you notice termites swarming around your home, it’s a sure sign that you have a termite infestation. Swarming typically occurs in the spring.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s important to contact us right away. We can help identify the source of the problem and provide solutions to eradicate the termites. Learn more about termites here.
